Stunning 1970s Norwegian Rosewood modular sofa group. Consists of 3-seat sofa & 2-seat loveseat, all interchangeable.
This is the only sofa group of its kind in the US. First we start with a gorgeous certified rosewood curved frame. The cantilever frame extends into the curvaceous armrests. Next, the rich saddle color, real buffalo hide cushions allow you to sink in comfort. Buffalo hide is very thick and durable.. so much so that these cushions still appear new after 50 years. What´s hidden out of sight are the 2, simple metal brackets that make this group totally modular (see photo of brackets resting on the seat cushion). They simply push right onto the rear seat frames and hold the sofa or loveseat securely together. Remove the brackets and you have individual lounge chairs to place around the room. All seat backs and under seat (behind the cushions) have dark brown leather slings stretched around the robust rosewood frames. This set dates to the 1970s. From Norway.
